SpanishPod Product and Community Updates

It’s been a big week here at Studio Fiesta; here’s the low down:

Community Updates

José Álvarez Díaz, a correspondent from the Spanish news agency EFE sat down with us for a few minutes earlier this week in Studio Fiesta to talk about our podcasts. That conversation has turned into international exposure for SpanishPod (as well as ChinesePod) and increased interest in our service from all over the Spanish-speaking world. In fact, traffic to our website has tripled since the story went out over the wire, and Madrid, Spain has become the city with the highest number of visits to our site.

In addition, Liliana convinced José to join us for a Del taco al tango show, in which he tells us some stories about being a correspondent in Asia, as well as about his love for Spanish guitar.

Check out José’s SpanishPod article:

Links to a more exhaustive list of newspapers where the story was picked up can be found here.
In other Community news: judging by the response in the Discussion section, we seem to have hit the jackpot with the lesson Intermediate: Hit the Jackpot, our first Intermediate level lesson to be published. More Intermediate level lessons are on the way in the weeks to come, as well as lessons from Upper Intermediate and Advanced levels.

Finally, our holiday promotion SpanishPod Xmas Gifts is still going strong. With the special holiday discount, t’s a great gift for that special Spanish student in your life, even if that special Spanish student is you!

Product Update

The big news here is that the SpanishPod: About Us page has been updated to add Leo and Esti’s bios and photos.

Please keep sending us your comments, suggestions, and encouragement to SpanishPod@gmail.com. We’ve got some big plans for the future around here–more extra content, videos, different kinds of lessons, etc. Last month’s launch has been exciting for us, but trust me, you ain’t seen nothin’ yet!
