Funny, I sent in an email to show my interest and I totally misread the post. I did not pick up on the idea that the forums in question will be for languages other than Chinese or Spanish. Now that I checked over the post again I can see how this is an easy mistake to make. That makes my email somewhat off… whoops!

We’re also offering AdSense revenue for the forum admin. It will be the admin’s responsibility to provide us with their AdSense code (meaning they will have to set up an account with Google) and will get the revenues from ad clicks on their forum.

Well, the community sure took a big hit in the aftermath of the V3 transition. Perhaps the community will rebound in the coming weeks. I for sure don’t have much to add to the week’s “going mobile” theme.

Although I still follow this blog, the forum and Frank’s blog, the extra site has certainly dropped off my radar.

Bazza, can you define “recently?” I noticed a drastic drop in the comments on the Newbie blog when we went to V3 and the link dropped off the main page.

interesting idea, other industries might provide similar services to other target audiences, patient associations, medical societies…
on a related subject, it seems that the flow of comments on this blogs has been slowing down recently, is it because a lot of discussion has moved back to the lesson and user conversations as opposed to CPo’s, or is it a reflection on the choice of topics?
I also wonder about other language versions of this blog, the only one I (very) occasionaly look at is the French blog where there’s hardly any comment posted, must be really frustrating for the host. Are things different in the other blogs?

Right, we’re offering forums for languages that we don’t have podcasts for. I’d be pretty happy if our current non-English blog authors would be interested in administrating a forum for their language, though often it seems that native speakers of a language aren’t the best for running a discussion of learning that language — they’re experience with it is just so different than a learner’s.

Interesting seeing what in the pipe.

So, you’re saying that Praxis is going to offer Forum-like sites for languages they aren’t even addressing with podcasts? Outstanding, but puzzling. What’s in it for you guys to provide such a resource?

If I understand this correctly, the people who have already donated so much quality time (without getting nearly enough recognition) writing the CPOD foreign language blogs should probably get first crack at this. Due to my own interests I tend to follow Joachim & Anne’s German blog along with Antonio’s Spanish blog, but I look in on all of’em and am always impressed. Have you considered approaching them to collapse their blogs into full-blown forums?
