In the midst of all the changes of recent months you may have gotten the impression that the Saturday Show had somehow disappeared. It hasn’t. You can find it here.
The Saturday Show will continue. Aric, as ever, has lot of ideas for it going forward. If you haven’t been there for a while, drop in and see what they’re up to. Meanwhile, stay tuned for more news about the show.

You know what? I don’t miss the Saturday Show. I’m not going to take the extra step to download it.
I was crazy about it for a long time, but I thought the tone changed about 3 months ago.
I was shocked when Aric stated that he “didn’t care for John Pasden” once. This was the turning point for me (although the smoking, the swinging, the drinking, the strong words, etc. didn’t enchant me). There was less and less reference to Chinese culture and traditions, so what’s the point?
Also, I prefer thinking of Jenny as a goddess, as she is on the ChinesePod lessons.
I was actually thinking of not listening to the Saturday Show anymore - about two or three weeks before it was spun off.

You know, I kind of have to agree with salairedelapeur. I like the Saturday show a lot more when you could actually learn tidbits about Chinese culture and language. I liked features like the “top five,” the “strong word of the week” and “ask Jenny.” Lately it seems to be more and more about the personalities of the presenters. I thought it worked much better when there were only two presenters. With three, there’s too much banter that distracts from any real content.
I did subscribe the RSS feed after it moved over to the separate web site, but that seems to have stopped working after the April 28 show, and I’m not willing to bother downloading it manually (especially since iTunes won’t recognize and categorize it as a podcast if I do it that way).
I recall during several shows Aric, Jenny, and Colleen wondered why there seemed to be fewer female listeners of the show. FYI, I am at least one woman who was a big fan of the show, but you’ve lost me with the direction you are taking it the past couple of months, and now that I can’t even subscribe to a feed, I’m gone.
