Today is V3 day. We’re working right now on the new servers, migrating data and so on. My hope is that we’re done within a few hours, but please don’t take this as gospel.
Logging in will be exactly as before. We have given you all new user names, but you will be able to change those as you wish.
There will also be an effect on your Mycourse folders. The data you saved will still be there - vocab in your vocab section, for example - but we’ll now use the calendar, rather than the Mycourse function.
I’ll keep you posted.
Update: We’re live!!!! To find your Mycourse folders, btw, go to the calendar on the Study Schedule page. (You’ll find the link to they Study Schedule in the Toolbox on the left of your personal log in page.)

Thanks for making us all a part of our changeover. We can laugh and cry and wince and party but we’ll do it all together and that’s what matters. V3 is off to a great start already!
I hope you’ve got a big enough supply of chocolate to keep the knob-twiddlers contented for a few hours

Eek! It’s nice. There’ll be some bugs of course, but who cares about them? V3 is here. (picture cute children running up with garlands of flowers to present to you all).

Thx for the positive words, guys, and the support. We’re kind of nervous, I can tell you. Must try to keep everyone happy…

yeah, just sent a bug report, takes a little getting used to but very nice, tab navigation for exploring lesson very convenient, numbering system much simpler to parse
but I guess I’ll have to adjust my own links from the full transcripts to the new site.

Where are the Saturday Show and Word On The Street in CPOD V3?

So much to explore. Also send in a bug report. In the blog the
still work…
The new listening test makes a good impression. Guess the grammar guide is also coming up soon…
Anyone found Memory Island in V3?

Oh, and I would suggest bringing back the old Pinyin-Chart in addition to the extensive new pronounciation guide - despite the long loading time it was a marvel to impress Newbies.

Anybody found out how to elete vocab and how to sort it?
Is the glossary still around?
海宁 / Henning Says:

OK…I can delete a single phrase…but can I also flush the whole old list that was mostly build up by accidently clicking on dialogue or expansion words in v2?

Looks really great, guys. A much more attractive environment to work in. Clearly a lot of work has gone into this and you should feel very proud of the results.
Will keep an eye out for creepy crawlies.

Matt,
Ken just recently blogged about the Saturday Show’s new home. WoS will be over there as well.
Henning,
Memory Isle is not yet up for V3. Stay tuned…
The Flash Pinyin Chart is coming back in a new and improved downloadable form, and audio clips will also be added throughout the online Pinyin Guide. That will be done very soon.
Vocab and Glossary are all there… we’ll work on explaining it better in the “what is this” link.

It’s beautiful. I just reloaded my schedule, and am REALLY looking forward to these new tools for managing my learning. THANK YOU for this supercool redesign.
I just want to know how to not be User12345 and become myself again…

I LOVE IT! I am very, very pleased with changes. It makes the web site much friendlier and more accessible for us Luddite newbie types. (And that makes me much more inclined to part with my money for the premium services.
) Thanks!
