Only 4gb? My 30gb ipod is pretty much full now, I think I need a 50gb or something next.
Hey Bazza,
Alright, you’ve got us there.
But wait, is it RED!? and is it promoting AIDS research?!?!
Ok, you’ve still got us…
I’m probably just greedy wanting my entire music collection on my ipod.
It could be used just for ChinesePod. I’m not sure how many people could afford a year’s subscription at Christmas though, I certainly can’t.
I think Amazon.com won’t ship an electronic item like an iPod to Europe, so is this more or less a contest for the American market where “eggnog”, “the grinch” and “happy holidays” have more cultural significance with regard to Christmas?
Pity it is shipped from the Amazon warehouse and not from your factory where you guys could have signed it. But now the Saturday Show has switched its logo to green, I would prefer a green one with the crew loading it up with hot tunes from Michael Learns to Rock and other cool stuff they play. Oh well, at least Aids research benefits!
Hi Ed,
This is NOT just for America! We checked out Amazon.co.uk and they will ship to Europe. Sorry, I am Canadian, I figured Eggnog and the Grinch were universal for English speakers, but I guess I was wrong. Could you suggest a few more general things and I will change it to be more inclusive!
That’s it, I can’t handle it any more.
Colleen, please send Ed every album of MLTR and make sure that the earphones have top-notch adhesive in them. By the time he pulls them off, he’ll realize what he’s saying…and see what we can do about super-imposing him in the Sat Show banner - I think that’s what this is all about.
Aric
Colleen,
Thanks for clearing that up - I was beginning to think this was just a (North) American thing. As for uniquely European indictators of Xmas, I would struggle to come up with a list, perhaps this could make for a good and timely blog thread - What does Christmas mean to you - if anything?
Aric, you made me laugh. I am sure I would be wincing after a few tunes by the very popular MLTR. Just goes to show - what is big in one country, like eggnog or MLTR, hardly registers in another. I like your idea of including me in the banner, maybe I will rent Zoolander on DVD this weekend to help practice a suitable pose!
Ok
I gave myself sometime around now; as a Christmas Gift a year’s Premium subscription to Chinesepod. So if I resubscribe for another year next week how do I see it adds a year to an exact forgotten start date ?
I haven’t yet gone through all the screens but does it make it clear (like a magazine subscribtion to add a year when this year is over?)
Too bad you can’t silkscreen the Chinesepod logo on the i-Pod as well now that would be worth having.
Mike in Jubei.
OK all you chinesepod ingrates!!! They are making this offer so some lucky fool gets something cool for Christmas/Channukah/Festivus.
How about picking one of the following holiday choices?
1. Use this awesome red ipod for only your chinesepod lessons
2. Find some unfortunate person who would love ANY iPod and give it to them
3. Shut your pie holes and accept a nice gift from a group of great people
4. If you win, tell chinesepod to give it to Aric so he can hock it and soup up the teal terror!
Haha, nice one John.
Mike, like a magazine subscription, it would indeed add time onto the end of your subscription, and you can find out your long-forgotten expiry date in the profile page. You could stack four or five one years on top of each other and tie yourself down into becoming fluent until 2010 if you wanted…:)
Ed, guess I will just leave Eggnog and the Grinch in there, without other suggestions. I did hear that in the Netherlands Sinter Claus has a little sooty midget or something with him, but, I think thats a bit niche:)
Personally I’d prefer a 2007 Jenny Zhu Calendar.
Colleen,
Thanks for the explanation. I checked my Christmas gift from me to me expires on Christmas Day! So with a few clicks I am good for another year. Don’t tell my wife but red heads are HOT!
If I think back, how was my Chinese then vs now; it was a great gift. I can’t wait to see what Chinesepod helps me with this coming year.
Love and Merry Christmas to Chinesepod HQ (even Aric)
Mike in Jubei
John - while I appreciate the thought, the TT needs no souping…plus, a Nano addition would keep it from being so streamlined.
Happy Holidays (even Mike).
Aric
Actually, this is illegal in the US as well as China.
If it’s s necessary to purchase a product to be entered into a contest, it’s a lottery, not a sweepstakes.
And, unless you’re the Chinese government, you don’t have the right to operate a lottery.
Hi David,
Ok, thanks for the feedback. I will add in a line that should make it legal.
Colleen
You just need to say “no purchase necessary.” and also allow users to enter by sending a postcard or filling out an online form.
Happy Holidays everyone. In case anyone was wondering where santa comes from, this is very funny…
