I’m new to RSS feeds, so as yet my life is not yet complete! I used MyYahoo and added your RSS URL to its page, so then I get a list of links of recent comments. This is great, however, each link takes me back to Chinesepod to see the comment, then I go back and forth to see the next comment. Is there a running feed like a ticker tape? I’ll start looking for my RSS tools now…..thx in advance.

In contrast the RSS reader function in MyYahoo or MyMSN, the beta GoogleReader also directly shows the full comments. Isn’t competition great!

btw: the second URL you listed doesn’t seem to be sending any feeds.

    MP3 format

I’m having trouble playing the Cpod mp3 file on my mp3 player. The file works fine on the laptop with WindowsPlayer, etc. The mp3 player is Chinese but I’ve had no trouble with other music mp3 files English or Chinese. Are podcast mp3 files slightly different?

How about some regular old straight forums on the bbs model? All commentary is collected together, we know who’s on line at any given time, you can get names and email addresses from the forum members and maybe convert some of them to paid subscribers of the full ChinesePod subscription. It would make things a lot easier for us, the readers and users of CP. And it would help establish community among CP users.

    Please.

I can never remember where I last looked and whose reply I wanted to follow.

    Any thoughts?

A couple of comments / suggestions:

    1. With the WordBank, it would be useful to be able to able to create your own categories to drag the words into - e.g. sport, family, entertainment, shopping. There could then be an option to limit the database set for the flashcards and concentration game to one of the categories. I think this would make them more effective - words on the same topic are easier to remember.

    2. It would be useful if the flashcards had an option for showing the PinYin beneath the Hanzi, instead of having to fiddle with the options to learn how an unfamiliar character is pronounced.
