ChinesePod uses Libsyn for its podcast hosting. As another blogger put it:
Urgent Message!! I just received word that the data center that hosts the iBryan Podcast files is down due to the hurricane in Florida. The iBryan website remains up as it is hosted by me out of Los Angeles. The Podcast hosting service I use Libsyn.com recently moved their data center to Florida after beter bandwith promises and being reassured something like this wouldn’t happen. There are supposed multiple redundant backups out of Florida and a generator system that should kick in if there are problems.
I am of course concerned because as I understand the hurricane that hit Florida was not as powerful as was expected and even if it was the data should have switched to an alternate server. I am in direct contact with personel at Libsyn waiting for an update but rest assured one way or another the iBryan Podcasts will be back on line asap.
Growing pains of an interconnected world, I guess.
